Sanitary pads vending machine was donated by the PTA to be used in the senior girls washroom. This donation was well liked by the girls. Grade 11 commerce were planning to sell sanitary pads as a project for their practicals. Here is a comment from them:
“We were planning on selling pads, as a part of experiential learning. Since we’ve done this already in 11th the ‘Cafe 11C’ project. As commerce students we don’t really have any practicals, hence why this plan came into action. The excess money will be going for donation. We will be doing this as a real company with all the docs and the accounting in the future. The vending machine was the latter option, but before that we were going to sell the pads ourselves. But it wasn’t so convenient with classes and all. But we had to try our options. And it’s just gotten so much easier with the machine already here, so thank you again.”
